- Sasol
Sasol is an energy and chemical’s company. We are technology driven, converting gas and coal into liquid fuels, fuel components and chemicals through proprietary processes. We are focused on commercialising our gas-to-liquids (GTL) and coal-to-liquids technology internationally. We mine coal in South Africa, and produce gas and condensate in Mozambique and oil in Gabon. We continue to advance our upstream oil and gas activities in Mozambique, Gabon, South Africa and Papua New Guinea and Australia. In South Africa, we refine imported crude oil and retail liquids fuels through our network of Sasol convenience centres, and supply gas to industrial customers. We also supply fuel to other distributors in the region. We have chemical manufacturing and marketing operations in South Africa, Europe, the Middle East, Asia and the Americas. Formed in 1950, Sasol has been producing liquid fuels since 1955. Sasol is listed on the JSE Limited in South Africa and New York Stock Exchange.

For almost four decades the BMW Group has been committed to the development of South Africa, its economy and its people. The company has had a local presence since 1968 and BMW South Africa became the BMW Group’s first production facility outside of Germany in 1975. South Africa is also the 10th biggest market in the world for the BMW Group and, unsurprisingly, BMW is the country’s leading provider of premium vehicles. South Africa is now as much a part of BMW as BMW is a part of South Africa.
