In 2005, BYM alumni of 2002, David Price founded BYM in Australia.

BYM Australia had their inaugural summit in January 2007 and the second summit in June 2008.

Some of the highlights from BYM Australia thus far:

• Both summits facilitated by previous Austalian of the Year winner Hugh Evans
• The incubation of Bi-Polar expedition. The Bipolar expedition is an exciting adventure aimed at raising awareness about and money for research into Bipolar Disorder. In November 2009 and April 2010 teams will travel to the South Pole and North Pole respectively. The expedition team will consist of guides, people with Bipolar Disorder, psychiatrists and community members.
