Livity Young Minds 2011
Congratulations to Ludwick Marishane, BYM 2009, who recently found out that he was one of 12 Livity Young Minds Competition Winners.
The aim of the Young Minds competition, supported by Google and UK company Livity, was to find 12 pioneers, change makers and leaders from around the world between ages 18-24. The prize: an all-expenses flight to London and free entry into the Google Zeitgeist 2011 event, where the winners represent their country on a global scale in front of amazing inspirational leaders, thinkers and social innovators from around the world.
On CP-Africa’s website, Ludwick is described as “a budding entrepreneur with a passion for learning and mentoring who also invented the worlds first and only bath substituting lotion ‘DryBath™ Gel’ aimed at providing an alternative to conventional baths which saves lives and water.”
Ludwick, on winning: “It’s a huge opportunity, and I’m very humbled by it…what excites me is that 3 of the 12 leaders are South African. I’m still raising capital to successfully launch my DryBath invention…hopefully I can make it to the finals of the Singapore Management University LKY Competition (I’m the first African to make it to the semi-finals).”
